Watch Servicing in Miami and Beyond
Buying a watch is only the beginning. Whether you need a vintage chronograph brought back to life, a second opinion on a piece you are considering or help finding a specific reference, Caliber Watches offers the same careful, honest approach we bring to our own inventory. Our watch servicing Miami clients can drop off by appointment, and clients across the US, Canada and Europe can ship to us. Contact us to start a request.
Servicing & Restoration
A mechanical watch is a small engine that needs periodic care. Our servicing covers full disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, regulation and testing, carried out by experienced watchmakers. For vintage pieces, restoration is approached conservatively: we preserve original dials, hands and patina wherever possible and discuss every option with you before work begins. You receive a clear written estimate first, and nothing proceeds without your approval.
- Full movement service and regulation
- Water-resistance and pressure testing where applicable
- Conservative vintage restoration that respects originality
- Written estimate before any work begins
Authentication & Inspection
Considering a private sale or a purchase from another seller? Bring us the watch and we will examine it inside and out. Our specialists check case and movement references, serial numbers, dial and hand originality, and the finishing details counterfeiters miss. You receive a plain-language summary of what we found, including any replaced or non-original parts, so you can buy, sell or insure with confidence.
- Case, dial, hands and movement examination
- Reference and serial number checks
- Originality and replaced-parts report
- Written summary of findings
Appraisal & Valuation
Know what your watch is worth. We provide valuations for insurance, estate planning and resale, based on current market data, condition, originality and the completeness of box and papers. Insurance appraisals document the watch in detail with photographs. Resale valuations reflect what the market is paying today, not optimistic asking prices, so you can make decisions based on realistic numbers.
- Insurance replacement appraisals
- Estate and collection valuations
- Current market resale estimates
- Detailed photographic documentation
Watch Sourcing & Personal Shopping
Searching for a particular reference, dial variant or birth-year piece? Tell us what you want and our specialists will search our network of collectors and dealers to find it. Every sourced watch goes through the same inspection and authentication as our own inventory before we present it. You set the budget and the criteria; we do the legwork and give you an honest opinion on each candidate.
- Hard-to-find references and dial variants
- Birth-year and anniversary watches
- Full inspection before we present any piece
- Honest guidance on price and condition
Sell or Trade-In
Ready to move on from a watch or trade up to something new? We buy luxury timepieces and vintage chronographs outright and accept trade-ins toward any piece in our collection. Send a few photos for a preliminary quote, then we confirm the offer after an in-hand inspection. The process is transparent from start to finish. Learn more on our Sell Your Watch page.
- Free preliminary quotes from photos
- Outright purchase or trade-in credit
- In-hand inspection before final offer
- Clear, no-pressure process
Straps, Accessories & Sizing
The right strap changes everything. We fit leather, rubber, canvas and metal bracelets, and size bracelets so your watch sits comfortably in Miami heat or a northern winter. We can also help source period-correct straps for vintage pieces and recommend storage, winders and travel cases. Local clients can have sizing done by appointment; remote clients can send wrist measurements before their watch ships.
- Bracelet sizing and adjustment
- Leather, rubber, canvas and NATO strap fitting
- Period-appropriate straps for vintage watches
- Storage and travel accessory advice
