Seiko’s 6139 caliber was among the very first automatic chronograph movements when it appeared in 1969, featuring a column wheel and vertical clutch that were remarkably advanced for the time. The yellow-dial version earned its ‘Pogue’ nickname after an astronaut wore one in orbit.
Today the Pogue is one of the most charismatic vintage chronographs you can own at an approachable price. Its sunny dial, colorful bezel and single-register layout give it an unmistakable personality on the wrist.
