Heuer Autavia Automatic Chronograph, Black Dial

The Autavia name joined the words automobile and aviation, and the watch lives up to both. With a rotating bezel, oversized registers and a high-contrast black dial, it is one of the most recognizable sport chronographs of its time.

Automatic Autavia models helped introduce the self-winding chronograph to the world at the end of the 1960s, famously with the crown on the left side of the case. Today they are prized for their bold presence on the wrist and their place in watchmaking history.
